Last weekend while Brian was enjoying his time in Lake Tahoe with the boys, I was at home crafting up a storm with all things wedding. It was a huge relief to get so much done and checked off of the infamous "Poster of To-Do's". Obviously, It didn't provide that much relief since the wedding "nightmares" still persist. Argh.
Anyhow - back to the crafts!
I can check off our custom aisle runner! I took the standard White cotton fabric (14 yards to be exact!) and finished the edges with 2" black satin ribbon then I put black pleated ribbon with white polka dots on top of the black satin. This is the border on both ends. Somewhere in between where we stand at the altar and where the guests enter from, there will be a big beautiful Aubergine thread monogram (with scrolls and such) sewn on. Although I am crafty, I definitely don't have the equipment to embroider a 2x2 monogram on it myself - but thanks to Lauri at Embroider Me - it will be taken care of!!! Check!!
For each guest/couple that is reserving a sleeping room at the Claremont for our wedding night, they will receive a personalized out of town bag customized specifically for them. So far we have 7 bags created, packed, and tagged waiting for their owner to enjoy! Check!!
I am hosting a bridesmaids luncheon for all of my great girls and put together little goodie bags that I made. They are packed with all kinds of fun and useful items for the day, too! Their flip-flops, which I glued on each rhinestone one-by-one, are my absolute favorite! The little black-and-white bows that adorn the top are to-die-for!!! Girls bags - CHECK!!
Lots of other projects were accomplished, also; Favor boxes, ribbons, and stickers are done and await their sweet accompaniment before they can be 100% completed. Rehearsal dinner invites are addressed and ready to be sent out. Fabric sashes (all 30 of them) have been cut, ironed, and individually rolled up and taped for easy storage and application. Father of the bride gift - purchased! Packs of tissues and handkerchiefs for the guests - purchased. Wooden name letters for the 'sign in table' - spray painted, assembled, and ready to go!
Everything is coming along quite nicely!
1 month, 1 week, and 6 days to go!
